Trading Carbon : December - January 2011
We'll always be a safe harbour +33 1 7303 7300 www.bluenext.eu the earth's exchangeTM The events at the beginning of this year forced us and our members to take drastic action to protect the integrity and security of the allowances traded on our exchange. The exercise proved successful. There was no repeat and no doubt about the value or provenance of contracts within the Safe Harbour. It's time now to change. The new measures taken by the European Commission mean that the Safe Harbour is no longer required. Once the central union registry is up and running the next generation of the BlueNext exchange will come into place. Our members can rest assured though, safe in the knowledge that our exchange will always be a safe port to dock and trade at.
